Delta Junction | Pier head formwork
The Delta Junction is a triangular section of the HS2 project. In total it will consist of 13 viaducts, each with its own unique characteristics depending on the orography of the area. The pier head formwork shown in the image was used for the development of part of these piers.

The Colne Valley Viaduct is a key element in the development of the High Speed Rail (HS2) infrastructure in the UK. Due to its long span, it is the longest railway bridge in the country. Our participation was focused on the manufacture of 4 steel structures to be used as shoring.

Gondolas are mechanical cranes that move on a rail structure used for cleaning, maintenance or repair services for facades or buildings. Although each machine is custom-designed to the needs of the target building but they all had common elements.

Set of pier formwork used for the new Paris underground line 15 covering the stations from Saint-Maur to Créteil. Made up of 36 stations and 75km long, this project is part of the Grand Paris Express project.

The Dublin building is an office building located in Campo de la Naciones (Madrid) In 2022, a refurbishment process began which included, among other improvements, a modernisation of the terraces.

Cavern Formwork - Gare SMC - Société du Grand Paris
The construction site is located at the foot of the current Saint-Maur-Creteil RER station, on an 8,300 m² area between Rue des Remises and Rue Bobillot.

Gate for Capillucas Dam
The town of Capillucas, in the province of Yauyos (Lima-Peru), has a reservoir of the same name, whose waters supply both the towns in the area and the El Platanal hydroelectric power station. The Capillucas dam receives regular maintenance and this year focused on recovering its storage capacity.

Working platform
Manufacture of 12 platforms used in the construction process of a viaduct in France. The aim of this project was that they were to be used as walkways on top of the piers. It is important to note that the lead times were very tight with only 3 months to complete the manufacturing.

Steel semi-moulds
Under the client's guidelines, we designed and manufactured a formwork for a circular pile with a diameter of 170 cm. The execution process was divided into two semi-moulds with a final weight of 3600kg.

The client requested the fabrication of several steel panels (most of them of 3100x4000mm) with the particularity that they had to fit with their standard panels.

Port of Caucedo: Intermodal transport
The port of Caucedo is one of the main and most modern logistics centres in the Caribbean. In 2020 we were asked to manufacture a set of 8 platforms for multimodal transport, each 4 levels high.

Tumpen Hydropower Tunnel
Tumpen tunnel is part of the development of the new Tumpen-Habichen power plant. This formwork was used for the construction of a 900 m water tunnel of this hydroelectric power plant. A full-section formwork featuring a very complex engineering

We have an engineering department that advides the client on development of the projects if required, however, our knowledge with regard to piles and capitals is more specialised and many of our clients request the full development of the work.
An example is this pile where the desing, project calculation, manufacture and painting were carried out entirely by Caldibe.

Auxiliar Transport Carrier
Manufacture of a carrier for the Pajares tunnel. It was equipped with two bridge cranes with a capacity of up to 6 tons and vulcanized wheels to support the weight of the concrete. The metal structure reached a maximum speed of 30km/h.

Tenerife Auditorium
Tenerife Auditorium is one of the most especial building of the city Santa Cruz de Tenerife. With a height of 38 metres and sail-shaped design, its arquitect, Santiago Calatrava, developed an unconventional work. Its construction started in 2001 with the installation of 17 metal structures that form the cover and ended in 2002 with the concreting and external plastering.

Engilton Crosstown Light Rail Transit is a light rail line located in Toronto, Canada's largest city with a population of over 2.5 million. It is also considered one of the main financial cities in the world, therefore the optimization of its means of transport is an important improvement value in the infrastructure of a city like this.

The manufacture of structures for stairs does not require great complications as long as they are more or less standard models. However, our clients come to us when the development of their project requires dimensions, shape and geometry outside the conventions.

Cadiz Bridge
Known as the Pepa`s Bridge, it is 187 meters high and 3 km long, of which almost 1.5 km is over water. It is made up of 37 piers, the main ones on which the bridge hangs are 12 and 13. Supported by 176 steel cables, 69 tons of steel were used in the construction of Cadiz Bridge.

Masnedsund Pier
Vertical pile formwork is specially manufactured for high walls. Their resistance and quality, both of the materials and of the production of the formwork itself, must be very meticulous for the success of the project. The Masnedsund pier is made of steel with anti-rust primer.

Steel moulds for the construction of stone blocks. A project outside conventional structures, based on large steel molds whose interior is covered with concrete in order to be used as a breakwater and dissipate wave energy. An efficient tool applied in the maritime industry.

Pedralba and Berroy Tunnel
The Pedralba and Berroy tunnels belong to the road section of the N-260 Pyrenean Way between the towns of Sabiñanigo and Fiscal. The Cerro de Berroy tunnel is a double-lane tunnel which pierces the Cancias mountain range, 163 m long. It is the second most emblematic project after the Pedralba tunnel (2598 m) in the province of Huesca.

Elorrio Piers
Manufacture of formwork for piles with a maximum height of 16 meters, requested for the development of the Gerediaga-Elorrio highway of 6.4 km, in Vizcaya. In total, the route has more than 30 piles whose execution was complex in certain sections of the route.

Jablunkvo Tunnel
The Jablunkov tunnels were two railroad tunnels that passed through the Jablunkov passage. Between 2007 and 2013 they were reconstructed leaving one as a double-track tunnel and the other as an exit corridor.

Moulay Hassan Bridge
Moulay Hassan Bridge is located in the city of Rabat (Morocco), crossing the mouth of the Bouregreg River. Its construction began in 2008 and ended two years later, in 2010. In total it has a length of 1.2 km with a width of 46m and a height of 12.8m.

Xacbal Tunnel
In the year 2016, we manufactured the tunnel formwork for the Xacbal hydroelectric power plant, located in the municipality of San Gaspar Chajul, in Guatemala. The client's requirements were a very demanding time frame for the manufacture of a 120 Tn formwork that also presented a very complex hydraulic system.

Montabliz viaduct
Manufacture of formwork for piles for the Montabliz viaduct. It takes on special prominence for being the highest viaduct in Spain with its 198 meters at its highest point. Its structure of 721 meters in length began to be built in 2006 although it was not inaugurated until 2008.

Zverosticky Tunnel
The Zveroticky tunnel is located on the Soběslav - Doubí section in the Czech Republic. The tunnel is 370 metres long and 3 metres high and it was built according to the technical specifications of the client, Peri. The tunnel lining consists of 37 reinforced concrete purlins, a large-scale project weighing 47 tonnes.

Positioning stands carrier
Manufacture of a carrier for the placement of various stands in the La Peineta Stadium.The design and engineering were carried out entirely by Caldibe. Its support was limited to a space of centimeters, which meant a complex technical study that guaranteed the stability of the assembly.

The Ordes Variant
The Ordes Variant project is part of the Atlantic High Speed Axis from Ferrol to the Portuguese border. It is 64.3 kilometres long and its objective is to improve communication between Santiago de Compostela and the rest of the region.

Sea Barrier Formwork
A formwork specially designed for a sea barrier in Gran Canarias. The structure had a weight of 42 Tn composed of carriers, panels, stairs and other key elements for the realization of the wall. At Caldibe we manufacture any type of structure under the client's requirements, without impediments in terms of dimensions or weight, bearing in mind the location and conditions of the structure.

Whatever the client's needs, at Caldibe we provide solution thanks to our extensive experience in the manufacture of all types of customised structures. A good example of this is this parapet formwork manufactured under the engineering of our client, ERSEM. A structure requested for the execution of the Cairo underground.

Mersey Gateway Capital
The Mersey Gateway Bridge has a total length of 2.25 km, including the large access viaducts. It is located in the city of Manchester connecting Runcorn and Widnes in Cheshire.This work is part of a larger project, aimed at improving the infrastructure of the Mersey crossings.

P.H Los Negros II Hidraulic Tunnel
P.H. Los Negros II driving tunnel. It is a 2.3 km hydraulic tunnel located in the province of Alajuela, in Costa Rica, whose objective is the construction of a new hydroelectric plant to take advantage of the water of the Negros and Jalapiedras rivers.

Pedestrian walkways
In May 2020 we manufactured the structures for two pedestrian walkways located in Las Matas (Las Rozas, Madrid). These weighed 17 tons. A project developed to improve communication and infrastructure in the area. We not only took care of the manufacture of steel structures but also of the painting services, now notably improved thanks to the new painting booth.

Puerto de la Canda, also known as Portilla de la Canda, is a Spanish mountain pass, which connects the provinces of Orense, in Galicia, and Zamora, in Castilla y Leon. This port currently has 4 tunnels, three road tunnels and one railroad tunnel.

Ibaizabal Viaduct
The Ibaizabal viaduct is located in the valley of the Ibaizabal River in the municipality of Amorebieta/Etxano in Bizkaia. Caldibe was in charge of manufacturing the ironwork carrier and formwork used in the execution of the project.

Sant Boi Capitals
This viaduct is composed of two sections, a first section of 340 meters with a steel structure in the form of braces, and a second section of 530 meters supported by 10 piers. Caldibe participated in the development of the project by manufacturing formwork for several of the capitals of the viaduct in the second section mentioned above.

Cantilever Carrier
Manufacture of a cantilever carrier for the Arbizelai viaduct. A viaduct built over the Deba river, located on the AP1 motorway in the province of Guipúzcoa, a place which orography is an aspect that requires special attention for any type of construction.

Sea Barrier Formworks
We have extensive experience in this type of project because we have made many sea barriers over the years. We know in the smallest detail the specific requirements of this structure so that it can be put into operation quickly, efficiently and productively. An example of this is this sea barrier of almost 4,000kg, built for Puerto del Carmen, located on the southeast coast of the island of Lanzarote in 2009.

Follow Line Gallery
The Follow Line project consisted of the construction of two twin tunnels between the cities of Oslo and Ski. Caldibe's participation in this project was based on the manufacture of the formwork used for the lining of the connection galleries between these tunnels, including the carrier for moving them.

This formwork was used to manufacture a gallery in the O Cañizo tunnel belonging to the Lubián-Taboadela-Ourense section of the high-speed line to Galicia. The aim of this railway line was to connect the Galicia with the rest of the country.

Osebe Tunnel
The Osebe tunnel is located in the "Padron-Osebe" section of the railway corridor that runs along the Atlantic coast, known as the Atlantic High-Speed Axis. Its almost four kilometres of track form part of the 97.5 kilometres linking Santiago with Vigo. The tunnel is 865 metres long and designed for double track.

Steel Concrete Moulds
In 2007, our client requested the manufacture of formwork for a set of moulds for the Melilla landfill site. It was a very interesting project as it consisted of manufacturing not only the steel moulds but also the clamp needed to transport the blocks. Steel is an optimum material for adjusting to complex and unconventional geometries, as in the case of these moulds.

Steel moulds for the staircases
These carbon steel moulds allow for ready-made flights of stairs, speeding up the construction process of any project. The length, width, height and number of steps are established according to the customer's needs. These moulds are made of carbon steel to guarantee their durability and the quality of the foundations. Monforte Capitals
Throughout our history, we have manufactured many capitals both nationally and internationally. An example of this type of project are these capitals manufactured for the Monforte - Alcoraya section of the Madrid-Levante high speed train line. A project developed in 4 months during 2007 that involved a total weight of 16 tons.

Edmonton Tunnel - Valley Line LRT
The Valley Line is a 27 km low-floor urban light rail line in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) that it will be part of the Edmonton LRT. The line will run southeast to west from Mill Woods to Lewis Farms, crossing through Edmonton's downtown core. Construction began on April 22, 2016, with completion of phase 1 set for 2021.

Carriers for Alaska tunnel
The State Route 99 tunnel, also known as the Alaskan Way Viaduct, is a tunnel located of the Seatle city, in Washington (United States). The SR 99 tunnel is a single tube that it has two lanes in each direction with a total distance of 3,2km that it crosses the city of Seatle. Work began in April 2017 but did not open until February 2019.

Villalba de los Barros Dam was built on the bed of the Guadajira River, in the town of Villalba de los Barros, Extremadura, Spain. It has two reinforced concrete galleries. The first one is the perimeter gallery to control the contact of the dam with the foundations and the second one is the transversal gallery to the dam.

Archidona Viaduct
The Archidona Viaduct is located in the province of Malaga, and belongs to the Antequera-Granada High Speed Line. A work of great magnitude designed to provide a solution to the need to bridge a total length of valley of more than three kilometres. It should be noted that the average height of its piers is 25 metres.

Despeñaperros Tunnel
The Despeñaperros tunnel is a double tunnel that crosses a mountain range in the Sierra Morena, in the province of Jaén. It forms part of the A-4 highway, making it the longest tunnel in Andalusia at 1925 metres long.

The Puerto de la Canda was a large-scale project based on the construction of 4 tunnels, three road tunnels and one railway tunnel. For its execution, Caldibe manufactured the formwork for the latter tunnel, as well as two transport carriers.

Chester Capitals
The Cheste capitals were manufactured for the "Buñol-Cheste" section of the Levante high-speed railway line in the Valencia region. Its route has a total length of 9.7km. For the development of this project, the client asked us to design and manufacture several formworks for piers and capitals which amounted to a total of 9 tonnes.
