The Ordes Variant project is part of the Atlantic High Speed Axis from Ferrol to the Portuguese border. It is 64.3 kilometres long and its objective is to improve communication between Santiago de Compostela and the rest of the region.

For this purpose, two tunnels of 446 and 570 metres respectively were built. Caldibe manufactured, under the client's engineering, the formwork for the tunnel and its corresponding transport carrier.
