The HS2 high-speed rail network is one of the most important and complex projects to have been carried out in the United Kingdom in recent years, not only because of the improvements in connectivity it represents (linking London with Bigminham and linking with Manchester, the North West and Scotland) but also because of its environmentally friendly technology and zero carbon emissions.
Its development is being carried out in several phases, with this steel formwork belonging to Lot N2 of the project, specifically for the Delta Junction section. This consists of a triangular section that will have 6 railway tracks, 3 of them on the west viaduct of the Tame River, one on its east side and 2 on the Water Orton viaducts. The pier formwork shown in the images is part of an even larger project that includes a pier head, platforms and kickers structures.
