Colne Valley Viaduct

The Colne Valley Viaduct is a key element in the development of the High Speed Rail (HS2) infrastructure in the UK. Due to its long span, it will be the longest railway bridge in the country at 3.4km. Spanning lakes and rivers in north-east London, it will be made up entirely of 1000 prefabricated segments, each of which has a unique shape, allowing the viaduct to curve.

It was in November 2023 that half of the route (1.7km) was completed, thus meeting the estimated completion of this section on schedule. Once completed, this phase of the project will form part of the HS2 "green corridor". During the spring-summer of 2023, Caldibe manufactured 4 steel structures used as shoring means for the viaduct construction . A total of 150 tons executed in 3 months.
